Experience Register terms
Version 2026-10-v1 · 21 October 2026
Version 2026-10-v1. Submitters agree to these terms and the declaration below each time they submit a record.
Notice shown before the form
The Builder and Project Experience Register is a private record kept by PERFORM. It is never published and never shared with other members.
Only report facts you can prove with documents. Tell us what happened, when, and what the contract or paperwork says. Leave out opinions, labels and guesses about why something happened.
PERFORM only discusses records when a member asks about a specific business they are about to work with. We share facts and suggest checks they can do themselves. We never tell anyone not to work with a business. We never name you unless you say we can.
Terms
Purpose. The Register helps PERFORM give members general guidance about doing their own due diligence. It is not a rating, review or recommendation service.
Who it covers. Records may be about builders, subcontractors or suppliers. Subcontractor and supplier records must be about a business the submitter worked alongside on the same project and need evidence from the builder or the project paperwork.
Private. Submissions are stored on secure servers. Storage is not restricted to Australia. They are seen only by PERFORM staff. They are never published, searchable or sent to members.
How facts are shared. PERFORM only discusses records when a member asks about a specific business they have a genuine reason to ask about. PERFORM may tell them what documented events are on record, without naming the submitter unless the submitter agreed. PERFORM only mentions a pattern when at least 3 different members have recorded it. PERFORM will never tell a member not to deal with a business.
Live disputes. Facts from a record about an unresolved dispute are not shared until it is resolved.
What is accepted. Records must be facts, supported by at least one document, about events in the last 3 years. Incidents of aggression or abuse are only recorded if formally reported to WorkSafe, police, Fair Work or another regulator, and then only the report date and reference are kept. Industrial issues are only recorded if on a public record.
What is not accepted. Opinions or labels, claims about honesty or motive, records without documents, personal matters, names of individual people, allegations of crime not decided by a court, rumours, events older than 3 years, and documents the submitter isn't allowed to share.
Accuracy. PERFORM checks that each record is supported by documents, but does not investigate or decide disputes. A record shows what a member reported and what their documents show.
Review by PERFORM. PERFORM may accept, decline, shorten or remove any submission. High risk records are reviewed by Fabio Henriques before they are accepted.
Right of reply. Any business may ask PERFORM to review records about it and provide its own documents. PERFORM will respond within 10 working days and will update the record, add the business's response, or remove the record.
Removal. Records are permanently deleted after 3 years, or earlier if a dispute is resolved in the business's favour or the submitter withdraws it.
Your responsibility. You are responsible for the truth of what you submit and for having the right to share your documents.
Legal requests. PERFORM may be required by law, a court or a tribunal to produce records, including your identity and documents.
Changes. PERFORM may update these terms. The version you agreed to is saved with your submission.
